Overview
You have a period of time for free and by now you don’t know what you should spend it for. You never try to become a farmer before or you get very interested in organic farm with a lot of vegetables, fruit…You want to try and get experience about that. In VVS programs, we are conducting program call “Organic farm for all”. The site of the program will be organized in the variety of field and types of organic farm such as: rice field, corn, potatoes, mix farm with a variety of fruits. For each season and each farm, we will conduct the suitable activities and working skill for participants in order to get the most beneficial result. There are so many people out there living on farms and in the countryside working to grow their own food, sell it, develop markets and make their way. Volunteering and living with a family is a wonderful way to learn about new cultures without being an intrusive tourist and at the same time you are giving back something to that place.

Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrive in Hanoi city (Noi Bai airport)
This will be the first day you come to Vietnam join in our project. VVS staff will pick you up from Noi Bai airport directly to the accommodation where it will be your home during the time you stay in Vietnam and work in our project. Then you will have the rest of the day, if this day still remaining in working time, we will have a short orientation at the homestay for you for all needed procedure for your stay and get involved in the project.
Day 2
A short training about lesson preparation will be conducted to you, some policies in transportation and how to be safe in the trips. Then, you will have time to visit and say hello to local people, visit the field and staffs whom you will work with. The time for this will complete a day early and then you have time to discover something surrounding you.
From Day 3 to the end of the duration (Working day only)
From Day 3, you will be working with full time support of Vietnamese staff members and will be involved in a variety of tasks that will be scheduled for you in everyday. You will join in the farm works and help local people plan trees, vegetables and feed the animals. Everything would be great if you could do it initiatively, it is very helpful for you to make a friendly way to work with local people, give the best thing for them and you also get the best feeling join them .
If you are English native speaker, it will be great for you to give some English lesson for local people. It will be a great opportunity for them, especially for local student, It may be the first time for them to speak to Foreigners.
Saturday & Sunday): This is the weekend and you are free at leisure.
It will be a flexible time for you to choose travel somewhere in Vietnam or the place you want to go. On our website, it is very interesting for you to take a tour around and meet new people, learn new thing and do some shopping.
In addition, if you want to go some beautiful places inVietnam, VVS can also give you the best advice where to go, what to do or offer best services for you. We ensure that you won’t be bored if you decide to travel at the weekend becauseVietnam is a fascinating, beautiful country. There’s a lot of things to see or to do on your trip.

Your Final day
Have a small farewell party to say goodbye to all your new friends, take your final photos and pack full of souvenirs in your bag. You’ll go to the airport, otherwise, you will be off for a further adventures plan. The return transfer from your accommodation to Noi Bai airport is not covered within your project fee, VVS is able to make recommendations and help you arrange a transfer if necessary. You should budget approximately US$25 for this trip.

What does the project do?
This project entails two-week work trips. Small groups of ten to fifteen people work in a rural village assisting families, local people. The project site will be the fields in the Southern Red River Delta of Vietnam where the nature gives the best place for agriculture. This project will give a big opportunity to volunteer, especially for international volunteers to adventure society of Vietnam with the agricultural culture. Besides, local people will get much more benefit from cultural exchange and the way they do the farm work with international volunteers who they work with, it’s the first time they meet in their hometown. This project is also a good way not only for local people change their life but also for international volunteers change their mind and give a hand of help to support local communities.
Role of volunteer
Volunteers plays an important role in this project. The project is conducted aim to enlarge the organic farm and reduce environmental impact of pesticide. Through volunteer activities, we would like to start a campaign call “fresh safe product for using in organic farm” . If you have some experiences in farming job, it is great for us to share and make the website better and better. Through those actives, it not only brings back the good products, but also good environment and good time and skills, experiences for volunteers and local people.
What’s the project like?
This project is in a fairly rural area in Red River Delta of Vietnam. Spending your free time in a country side, getting fresh air everyday and participating in wonderful farm work will be a good experience for you on the trips. Furthermore, fresh fruit, vegetable and animals are available for processing foods. Tasting this kind of foods will be unforgettable memories for you.

The project site will be organized in the village where it is 30 km far from Hanoi. This village is one of the biggest place for planning vegetable and fruits. It is the biggest place to provide fresh vegetable, fruit for Hanoi Capital.
The Red River Delta (also known as the Sông Hồng), is a flat, triangular region of 15,000 square kilometers, is smaller but more intensely developed and more densely populated than Mekong Delta. Once an inlet of the Gulf of Tonkin, it has been filled in by the enormous alluvial deposits of the rivers over a period of millennial, and it advances one hundred meters into the Gulf annually. The ancestral home of the Vietnamese ethnic, the delta accounted for almost 70 % of agriculture and 80 % of industry of Northern Vietnam before 1975.
Activities and schedule
Activities and schedule will be set by VVS or the inquiries, suggestion from the participants. The plan will be fixed before the trip runs. All of the activity plans will be send and let participants know via email.
Project resources and advice All support for activities on the trip will be provided by VVS and local support. Besides, you should prepare something good for you when participating in the trip.

There are four seasons in the North of Vietnam: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. The weather is really hot in Summer, cool in Autumn and Spring, and really cold winter. When you plan to go to Vietnamtaking part in the project, you should check the time and weather.
Cameras, laptop will be very helpful for you to record all interesting things and memorable things. As you have free time, a story book also helps you relax.

You will share a room with one to three others in a home stay or guest house. The accommodations are basic equipped amenities. This will be a good opportunity for you to taste local life style.

If you are travelling to the project between May and September, please ensure that you bring some short and cool clothes, and some warm clothes should be prepared for some cold night.
